Description

Are you ready for the Summer Beast of Burden? Whether you are looking to complete your first ultra distance event, or are a veteran of the sport, the Summer Beast of Burden is a true test of your endurance, set along the historic Erie Canal towpath. Athletes will choose either the 100 mile, 50 mile or 25 mile distance.

Runners will start at Wide Water’s Marina where you'll have access to showers, restrooms and our fully stocked aid station. Runners leave the marina and run along a paved trail for approximately 1 mile before crossing the canal on one of Lockport's historic draw bridges and then run along the historic Erie Canal Towpath.

Athletes will run approximately 6 miles to another fully stocked aid station and a chance to get out of the sun. Athletes will then head out for another 5.5 miles to the Village of Middleport, where they will reach a third aid station and turn-around.

Our aid stations have hands down the best volunteers you will ever find, and all of the ultra food you will need to fuel your run, including Heed, Water, Coffee, Coke, gels, grilled cheese sandwiches, chicken broth, fresh pizza, pancakes, donuts and...well, you'll have to show up to see!

On to what you have come to love, The BoB Shwag-Bag! We've received a lot of compliments on our Shwag-Bag and we're doing our best not to let you down. Each race they've gotten better and better so, when will it end? Not this race! "The Double Beast Buckle" is back! Not only do we have a really cool belt buckle, we give any 100 mile participant a "Double Beast Buckle" if they can finish both the Winter BoB 100 & Summer BoB 100 in the same year.

So, you think you've got what it takes? We've closed off registration early every race so don't wait, sign up today and get ready to unleash The Beast!
