First time I went to a 5K without anyone. Worried driving wise b/c directions were not that clear. Take the Southern State -> 19S. Straight until the Nassau Expressway (878) South, make a left. Make a right on whatever street and go to the end.
The usual suspects were there. Len showed up a little late, Gerry and some other Alley Pond Striders. Didn't expect Gerry or Len.
Race started on time and was fine. Mostly flat but there are some deceptive small rollers. Right at the start, 1 block from the start, a truck blocked the street but thank God for the cops. Went out to strong as always.
Sprinted at end though this was the first time that I felt like I might throw up with 1/2 mile to end. I just said to myself, throw up is ok at finish line but not yet. As soon as I crossed the finish line, I was fine.
