Once again, over 95 degrees and high humidity. On the other hand, the water was cold!

This time I did things differently. I went in and warmed up in the water. I never did that. It helped. Next, they switched it from point-to-point to a 3 sided square. They did not account for the STRONG current and a lot of people got blown off course. All the elite's missed the first buoy and also came to the beach on the wrong place.

I also saw 2 people hanging on to dear life on to a surf board. Then, the lifeguard, sweatshirt and all, jumped in. They tried to get a woman on and the surfboard kept flipping over. They finally got her on and brought her in. Four lifeguards ran in to help get them. Wild.

The bike and run were HOT. I'm glad I used the camelback even though the coach said that it's not neccessary. It was HOT.
