I dropped off the kids and Lee at my in-laws and started to the beach. At that point, there was a drizzle. Soon it was raining. Then the thunderstorm came. It was full blown, with 30 feet visibility in front. I called the Biathlon and they said it was not raining and it was going on.
The rain steadily got worse and I drove through flooded out areas. A 30 min drive took over an hour and a half.
They cancelled it! Postponed it really but I am not gonna be there next week. Funny thing is when they finally cancelled it there was a big collective sigh! They were all pissed.
