Lee woke up this morning and decided that she wants to run. Turns out her homecare was cancelled so she could do it. She has NOT trained at all. She decided to put Jessie in the umbrella stroller and run. It would not be that hard but like I told her the course was flat. The area was Hollis Hills. I now know why it is called Hollis "Hills". I hit my first hill and thought, oh man. At 1 point, this kid on a bike who was riding next to me said, this is it, no more hills for you. He then said bye and left. As soon as he left I found another hill, 1 of many more and immediatly started thinking unpleasant thoughts.
There was 1 really annoying thing in this run. Everytime, I asked an official or volunteer, how much longer, they kept telling us that we are done and that's it. BS! I do not like it when people sugar coat things for me. Lee has a harder time because she lost the pack at 1 point and a race officialy was busy talked to someone else instead of answering her. The last 2 blocks were the worst hills of the run. Horrible.
Lee had to stop at 1 point in the run to give Jessie her shoe so she can play with it because she started crying at 1 point.
That day I finished 3rd for age. As Jeremy and I were waiting for my trophy, Lee was packing up the car. Suddenly we heard Elizabeth's name being called. She came in 3rd for age. Unbelievable. Both Elizabeth and I got trophies that day.
