90 % chance of rain on race day. Who the hell says 90 % anyway? Why not just say, "it's gonna rain!". Well it did. A lot. The drive to the race site was bad. At times real bad. Jim and I got there early enough to get a close parking spot, hit the bathroom and pick our stuff up.

The race started with a cold drizzle. At one point, it came down real hard. I cracked a joke to someone that the good thing about the rain is that it will fill up the water stations. There were 2 or 3 water stations with no water! At least it wasn't Chicago!

At the turn around at 6.5, I saw Dan Perlmutter coming along. I was expecting him and was wondering where he was. He finally caught up to me and we ran together. I was losing focus so it was good that he was there. I would have slowed down. At about mile 11, we saw Dominique who Dan really wanted to catch up to. The turn around was at 11.5. We saw her up ahead and he did not think that we would catch her. I decided we will and told him. I went, pulling him along. Yelling at him to come with me. Caught her and pushed for the finish.

Best race so far this year. Not to far from my p.r.
