My second run ever and this in my house. Beautiful day. Not to hot. The start was at the Cross Island YMCA going around under the Cross Island Parkway then straight to my house. Jeremy and Max helped in a water station in front of our house. Then of course go back the same way.
This time I ran and there was this asian woman running right behind me for a long time and I could not shake her off. Later she joined me and we ran together. This was Eileen from the Alley Pond Striders. She was in her late thirties, early forties but you could not tell. I thought she was in her late twenties. When I told her I was 31, she called me a baby and laughed.
Anyway, She is great. We got to my house together and Lee said she will try to run a little with me from there. Later, Elizabeth told me that we were running really fast and that she thought that was amazing that I could do that.
Well, I had to let Eileen go at 1 point. I could not continue like this but I finished. My best time yet. Later Eileen thanked me because she did not stretch and had a hard time running but she kept focusing on me. I thanked her because I could not have done it without her.
I should have got a trophy - came in 2nd for age but they did not have any.
